Project Update

It's a Brave New World!

By the end of the day on March 22 you must be FINISHED the following items of the project so far:

1. Regions Research Booklet

2. Science Research Booklet
3. Bibliography
4. Good copy of Policy of Imperialism
5. Most of Blue Prints done
6. Materials list is FINISHED

If you are not done these items your group needs to communicate how this will be finished over the break.

After our Grade 8 meeting today, we have decided all Grade Eights in the building need another full day to work on their Science research organizer. You will have two periods Monday, as well as study stop with Ms. Noullett and Mr. Schmidt after school, to complete your Science research organizer.

Project Update

Thank you for being respectful and representing 804 really well at the Citizenship Ceremony today. We appreciate the effort.

Today you had a lesson on citing your research. Here are the notes from the lesson:

1. Go to this generator:
http://www.bibme.org/

2. Choose APA as the style you want to use.

3. Choose which reference you are using (book, website, etc)

4. Go through the prompts and then copy the finished citation into your bibliography.


Make sure you keep track of all the websites you are using!

NEW PROJECT

Welcome to your new project:



Over the course of the next month, you will be in groups that will be researching, reporting, building, and presenting on specific region and a specific problem. You were given your problems, regions, and groups today, as well as the folder that you must keep with you for the whole project. All files will be shared with you on google drive tomorrow.

Please take a look to the top of the blog for the March calendar for the project. You will have all CORE time to work on your research (Science and Humanities) this week.

-       Parts of the plant system (transportation of nutrients)

What is their MAIN function
Picture of different organs and what systems they belong to


Specialization of cells (muscle, nerve, blood)

Unicellular/Multicellular

Alveoli/Capillaries/Villi

Microscopes (magnification and different parts/their function)

YOUR LAB REPORT IS DUE ON MONDAY. We moved it because we know you have a lot going on and decided to give you the weekend too. : )

Here is the information on your lab report, which we went over in class today. I would highly recommend starting this on the weekend. Do the textbook questions (6 in total) and you have half of it done already.
