Humanities

Today was predominately spent discussing the election in the United States.  Time was spent reading an article and determining each candidates political platforms.  From there we had an amazing class discussion on what exactly each platform meant, what is the rationale, how can we compare these policies to Canada's.  Great Questions everybody, let's keep reading and following so that we are able to make educated and informed statements.

Tomorrow: we will be continue working on crafting questions based on our 3 statements/observations from Japan's pictures and quotes.

  2. Just letting everybody know that the highest minimum wage in the world is Australia's $15.96 (before taxes), $9.54 (after taxes) since Jan 31st 2016. Which is $16.30 in Canada. BUT Australians have to pay an income tax of 40% which is why they have a higher minimum wage.
