Today was our first day of Daily 5.  We will be starting every class with 20-30 minutes of a different station everyday.  Stations are:

Station 1: Silent Reading
Station 2: Current Events
Station 3: 2-Minute Talk
Station 4: Reading Fluency
Station 5: Reading Comprehension

Whatever is not completed that day during the station time is for homework.  Have a selected current event reading to go prior to that station, it will help to keep you on task and utilize your time more wisely.

The Black Death

We began an official investigation into The Black Death.  After reading eight case studies, we are taking jot notes and documenting evidence that will hopefully lead us to the reason for the fast spread of such a terrible disease.  We will continue this investigation tomorrow.
