Steps:

1. Watch and listen:

2. Brainstorm in your journal (jot notes, visual notes, whatever works for you)
- How is the story different from the version you are familiar with?
- How might other fairy tales change if told from a different point of view?

3. If you need more ideas or examples, here is a fractured fairy tales playlist:

4. If you are interested in writing a fractured fairy tale, use the following guiding questions to start your planning:
o   Which fairy tale will you "fracture?"
o   How will you change that fairy tale?
o   Who will be the good character? The bad character?
o   From whose point of view will the story be told?
o   Where will the story take place?
o   What problem will have to be solved?

#2: Politically Correct Fairy Tales

1.     Read:
The printed version of Little Red Riding Hood
2.     Listen
To The Three Vertically Challenged Pigs
3.     Write:
  Choose a fairy tale to re-write with a politically correct twist
4.     If you are writing, use the following guiding questions:
·      Which fairy tale will you "politically correct”?
·      How will you change that fairy tale?
·      What words/events can you use to be politically correct?
·      How are you going to change the story?
·      Where will the story take place?
·      What problem will have to be solved?
